Daily Supplications Morning Supplications
Praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions.
Morning supplications are among the greatest daily acts of worship by which a Muslim preserves his connection with his Lord. He begins his day with them in tawhid, reliance, humility, and asking for protection and well-being. They are among the greatest means of calm for the heart and, by Allah’s permission, protection from evils and harm.
Allah Most High says: “So remember Me; I will remember you.” [Al-Baqarah: 152]
قال الله تعالى: {فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ} [البقرة: 152].
And He says: “And remember your Lord often.” [Aal 'Imran: 41]
وقال سبحانه: {وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرًا} [آل عمران: 41].
Time of Dhikr The Time for Morning and Evening Supplications
The best time for morning supplications is from the break of dawn until sunrise. This is the preferred time indicated by the texts about remembering Allah in the early part of the day, and it was mentioned by a number of scholars. If a Muslim misses them in this time, there is no harm in saying them later in the morning before noon according to many scholars, though saying them after Fajr is better and more complete.
As for evening supplications, their best time is after 'Asr until sunset. If they are missed, some scholars mentioned saying them in the beginning of the night.
In short:
- Morning supplications: best after Fajr until sunrise.
- Evening supplications: best after 'Asr until sunset.
- The sooner one starts the dhikr in its proper time, the more complete it is in following the Sunnah.
Morning Supplication 1 Reciting Ayat al-Kursi
Allah - there is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

{قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ . اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ . لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ . وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ}
{قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ . مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ . وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ . وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ . وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ}
{قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ . مَلِكِ النَّاسِ . إِلَهِ النَّاسِ . مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ . الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ . مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ}
